Main Wing
|
| |
Right outside the Main Wing, a unique water fountain showcasing three "sprayed-up" golf balls greets guests at the front of the Clubhouse’s huge pillared entrance. Talk a walk inside the airy and spacious interior and one is immediately impressed by the two grand staircases sweeping down in a graceful arch from opposing sides. Stained glass panels and a three-tiered, antique chandelier which hangs from the dome at the centre of the ceiling add atmosphere to the Clubhouse interior. Italian granite flooring and lush, green flora makes up the rest of the wing, giving it the luxurious feel of tropical colonial properties of old, complete with a tranquil Spanish courtyard. Many of the Clubhouse’s dining facilities are situated in the Main Wing The Palm Coffee House, the Gin Shui Tei Japanese restaurant, the Spring Garden Tropicana Chinese restaurant as well as the grand ballroom.

| A shopping arcade links the Main
Wing to the Sports Wing. The Sports Wing is, naturally, a haven
for sports lovers and active members of the Club, with huge
resort-styled swimming pools, indoor and outdoor tennis courts,
indoor badminton courts, squash courts, table-tennis and a round-room
gymnasium, among others. Complementing these are the spa and
sauna/steam rooms as well as the Jacuzzi and Japanese baths.
A snooker room, 12-lane bowling centre, an outdoor children’s
playground and a well-stocked library complete the temptations
offered by the Sports Wing. The Clubhouse’s three-tiered
covered car park is situated below this wing as well. |

On the right side of the Main Wing lies
the Golf Wing. This section of the Clubhouse is of course
popular with golf enthusiasts, where one could find all golfing-related
amenities at one’s convenience. A golf pro-shop and the Golfer’s
Terrace which serves food and refreshments is located between
the Main and the Golf Wings. Present in the Golf Wing itself
are the golfer’s lounge, a perfect place for relaxation after
a game, changing room facilities as well
as a Jacuzzi, sauna, Japanese bath and steam rooms. A buggy
corner is also available for the convenience of golfers to
leave their bags and personal possessions before and after
the game. The outdoor driving range opened till 11pm at night
is the perfect place for a bout of late-night practice for
those who couldn’t get enough of the game. |
